Shalla is a Filipino-American Artist featured in the book,
“Heaven Is Vegetarian: Art and Prints of Celebrities Who Are Alive and
Vegetarian in Paradise”.
Surrealistic Realism is the vein of her most recent
collection, paintings of famous people like Robin Williams, Joan Rivers, etc
parodied, mostly in acrylic. Satirical and political embody her pieces which
also swing to humorous caricature drawings.
Shalla acquired training at the renowned Des Moines Art
Center and the Pasadena Art Center and continues to experiment with her craft.
She has had solo shows in California at Sax Contemporary Gallery along with
repeat exposures of her work for television shows as an Art Director for Buena
Vision Television.
She is represented in the collection of the Collective Souls
Art Gallery, Las Vegas and at Annie Creamcheese, Las Vegas.
