  1. James Dean-50's Screen Icon James Dean died in a car accident when he was in the midst of great career success, he was 24.

 

Mikey Rooney and Judy Garland --Wizard of OZ, meet me in st. louis

 

Carl Switzer

The extremely popular Alfalfa from the "Our Gang" comedies died in 1959 at age 31. Switzer was shot during an altercation with a man who believed owed him payment of money.

 


 

Norman Chaney

Sadly another child actor from "Our Gang"star died in 1936 at age 21. Chaney died from complications during glandular disorder surgery.

 


 

Billy Laughlin

While delivering papers with a friend, the "Our Gang" star died in 1948 at the young age of 16 as he was hit from behind by a bus.
